Our place in young county we seem to have plenty of young 8 pointers. But neither of us that actively hunt there has taken a deer yet. No big bucks have shown themselves on camera or in person. Two spikes running around, but they elude us. And the only doe seen all season was one I got a short look at while it was being chased by a small buck. It has been an unusual year so far. At least I have got to shoot some hogs.

I have seen some deer, but have not taken one yet either. I hope I have better luck this weekend with the Ducks.

We have been seeing does, but we only spotted 3 bucks this year. One spike (1.5) a 7 point (2.5), and a 8 point (2.5 maybe 3.5). The 8 and the spike where legal, but to young.

It's been slow on our lease too. We were able to kill all the does to meet our management plan, and there have been some bucks killed but nothing spectacular, overall it has been a lot slower than years past. Pretty much everybody I have talked to in this area is saying the same thing.
