watch your step...they are out !!

Postby WstTxLady » 05:13 pm Mar 21 2011

Got this one at the Lake Ivie lease Friday afternoon. Didn't expect to see it but it was very active & not sluggish at all. On the way back, we missed a BIG one that was in the road...the head was in the grass and the tail was well over the OTHER side of the yellow stripe. I left the t-posts at the lease so I had NOTHING to kill it with and was NOT about to go in the grass after one that size. Can't get them all...even though I try rockongif

It sure wasn't and like I mentioned, we missed an even bigger one crossing the road. It's funny, when I'm out LOOKING FOR them in particular, I don't find as many. But if we are out doing something else, they are just all in the right places. We are about to tear down an old house on a property next to us and I can just imagine all the rattlers in it. Guys who have their camp across from the old house said they have seen several BIG ones out by it. They knew I get snakes & just left them alone for me.
