I have had a game cam on the bone pile all season & there has been a pair of yotes just begging to be caught. Plus a nice bobcat earlier in the year. One yote looks just nasty, has no hair on its tail, back in thin, mangy. The other has a nice coat. Might pick up a fresh road kill & put some legholds around it. If anything, there are 3 fat coons that will get caught also.

Good luck with the trapping, all I ever caught was a skunk. barf.gif

We're probably going to prep traps tomorrow & walk the places out marking spots for sets. Then get things rolling Saturday. Its weird with the warm days & freezing nights, has stuff on a weird pattern.

First day came up with 2 skunks. This morning was nothing but we lost a snare (probably a pig) and 1 leghold trap did snap but not all the way & a yote got out. We could tell from the sign it was a yote. Try again tomorrow.

He shot them, left them & came back later & removed them. That pair of jeans will need a LONG soak in the washer now & I dont think those gloves will ever recover.

My oldest has been going out every night since we got the Moulfons. He has killed 2-5 coons and skunks every night since Feb. Last week he killed 10 in one night and they have finaly tapered off some. this is just around the house and pens. We had a lamb blinded by a fox (i think) so I am going to build a couple traps this week and try and get them. We have only killed two so far. I have a pretty big mama cat to get as well. I don't think there is any end to these things.
