5 day New Mexico Hunt ***UPDATE W/ PICS***

Postby Mike » 02:29 am Nov 11 2010

I am heading out Fri (11/12/10) morning for a 5 day deer hunt in the Lincoln National Forest in New Mexico. I am going with a friend and some of his family. We got drawn for tags back in the summer.

I will take lots of pics to post up when we get back on Wed of next week.

We actually got "Forked Antlered Deer" tags, which means any deer (white tail or mule) with a forked antler.

We had a great time hunting in NM. I did not see any deer in 5 days but it was a great trip. The game warden said he had not see anyone with a deer on the third day when he stopped by, and we did not see any other camps with deer. The weather was cold at night (upper teens) and warm during the day (60's). I was nice to get out and hike in the hills and be with some great people.
