Well

Postby twice70 » 12:19 pm Aug 15 2010

Went to the lease yesterday and got my feeders going finally, all except for one. I wasn't paying attention and hooked the battery up backwards, now when you hook it up right it starts spinning immediately and won't stop, so I just dumped corn on the ground at that stand. Good news is I have another timer assembly to put on it, will just have to wait a couple days. A lot of deer sign though so things are looking good. Next weekend is our big workday and bbq, we will mow and start getting food plots ready. I like all the work that goes with it almost as much as the actual hunting, it will be here before we know it!!

I'll post some up!! We have moved it from this weekend to the weekend of the 28th, because some of our older members had things going and couldn't make it, and we like to all get together, as many of us as possible anyway. I was glad it got moved off, I had a little accident and cut the pad off of the bottom of my big toe. You can't stitch it up, so all I can do is keep it wrapped and clean. It's sore, and the only thing I can wear on my feet are my snake boot, they are the most roomy boots I have, but I don't think I'd be up to all the walking this weekend anyway now...it's gonna leave an awesome scar, but nobody will be able to see it!!

Yeah it's a lot better. I won't tell the full story here, but it involved beer and a slippery surface....
