OOOHHHHH boy!!!!

Postby slimpickins » 08:15 am Oct 20 2008

mike went down to check feeders and cameras for us this past weekend.
Had some new visitors to the round trap.
Anyone want to guess what jls41 and the kiddos and I will be doing next weekend?
I love blondes!!! Hogs too!!!

The nerve of some critters, to just lie down and take a nap right at the trap door.

Looks like it should be no problem filling the trap.

The only problem was that we did not take any fresh batteries last time we went down and checked every thing. Both cameras had been dead for about three weeks or so.

I only had 11 pics on my camera. I just get upset when the camera is dead and there are LOTS of good tracks all over the place.

I hope that I fixed that problem this trip by getting my Moultrie Game Camera Solar Panel installed. With the solar panel attached to the camera the D Cell batteries act as a back-up system if the battery pack in the solar panel gets low. I hope having to replace batteries on a regular basis is over.

This panel will plug directly into any '07 or newer Moulrie camera.

I will keep everyone updated if this thing is worth the $60.00 I paid for it.

If it takes the "D" batteries, it should have a port on the side to plug into like this one of his.
Mine is 1 model older than his and takes the big 6 volt battery and has no plug in on the side.
Maybe wrong, but when his came out and we noticed that it took different batteries and started doing some research and figured out that they were going to make this charger for his, but was non-compatable with mine.

You can hard wire it in if you have the correct plug in. Most of them need a Q type plug, I think. I tried this on a few wildview cams and blew the snot out of them, so don't take my word for it. I learned all of the correct procedures post-camera blowing up...

Nope, I was incorrect, here's what he answered someone else.

picked mine up at Academy, but you can order them from Cabelas. Academy had them for around $60.00. They are a little high because they have an internal battery with a digital display on the side that provides the battery charge, real time solar amount, daily solar average, and weekly solar average.

Just like the one I have, and use the rechargable 6V batteries in, I do have a smaller solar panel that helps, but it is still a headache.
