That's why we just invested $20 in a critter cage at Gander Mountain for jls41's feeder. Don't take them long to empty one.

Niether, it's just the wire cage that is too small for them to get thier hands through.
Screws on the barrel with 4 self tapping screws.
Folds together to make a square and clips together for easy removal and access to spinner.

It's black squares that piece together to make a 5 sided square and clip together with snap clips easily.
I looked online and was unable to locate them, but they were on the back wall with all the feeder stuff.

Here is a link to the American Hunter website that has a varmit guard similiar to the one Slim is talking about. This one is round, but the one at Gander Mtn. is square and I think it is a little bigger.

Suggestion - quickly assemble it in the store and make sure it has the correct number of clips before you buy it.
