Find you a high spot, sit with your back to the wind, and don't get in any hurry.
I've hunted with folks that make a 10 minute setup and leave.
It ain't worth my time unless I have an hour at each setup.
I started timing my setups and average time to sitting down to call and pulling the trigger is 38 minutes.
Many times a dog will sneak in and sit and just watch from 300 yards out, those are the ones I love to work into range, challenging.
I use mouth blown rabbit calls, I think my lanyard has 7 or 8 different brands/tones/pitches.
I even carry a red tail hawk call that has brought tough dogs in close enough to shoot.
I've had 3 electronic callers and wasn't pleased with any of them.
I want to be able to stop and start when I want, as the situation needs, change calls and how I blow them.
Can't do that with an electronic caller.
Most of my setups I can see several miles, so I know it'll take a while for them to come in.
