Went to the deer lease tonight and made a little round, saw 3 little pigs all about the same size and was able to kill this one. 17 HMR to the earhole!!

Yep!! Those little 17's are tough. I carry mine just about everywhere. I bought a Savage because they come in lefty's, and it's been a great little gun. I killed a bigger pig, probably about 150 lbs with it with a head shot back during deer season. If you put it in the right place it does the trick on bigger animals, and on coons, foxes, rabbits, stuff like that it's awesome!! I did switch from the Hornady 17 grain bullets to the CCI 20 grain Gamepoints, they seem to hold together and penetrate a little more, but even on this little pig it didn't exit...

LOL I know!! I started thinking, since I was off yesterday, might as well cook him instead of messing with freezing him. Man it turned out good, that was the 1st time I cooked one that small, but it won't be the last!!!

Awesome job! Ben has a Savage .17 HMR, I call it his "House Mouse Rifle". lol.gif

Be dang careful with that CCI ammo, he had one hang up in the barrel and didn't know it.
Luckily it was such a small caliber or it could have done a lot of damage to his face. mad.gif
Anyway, after about 6 months of shipping what was left of his rifle to Savage and then to CCI, CCI replaced it admitting ammo failure.
Now he shoots anything he can find except CCI.
