A frosty Sunrise

I took this pic while drinking coffee waiting on the sun to come up before heading out on the lease for some late season dove.

And a very happy dog on the hunt.

2 great pictures, I'm sure the dog was happy that you gave him some work to do by moving and keeping up his body temp. on that cool morning

That would be She. Don't want to hurt her feelings. She is big for a female Vizsla.

Most of the hunt was walking with some bike riding between locations, But we did lay flat on the ground under this tree for quite a while until I got cold.
Dove would just keep coming back trying to land in it. Sometimes in big groups, sometimes singles. It kind of stuck out in the edge of the field and was the highest point. It was not to hard not to notice the pattern. Still most birds were shot walking the creek though.

Nice little set up, never thought about a bike, probably the best thing to use to cover some ground, Quiet and dont need gas. Sound like a great day in the field. Now we gotta wait until next season.

The bike is simple. It is several years old though my wife bought it for me new. We just looked for the cheapest 10 speed we could find. It was on clearance from the now long gone Service Merchandise. Can't remember the brand, but probably just a Murray. I bought solid foam rubber tubes at Walmart so they never go flat. Dry rot, cactus, mesquite will never be a worry for the life of the bike. Generator light came from a neighbors bike he had put out for the trash man. I should replace it with one of the cheap led battery powered bicycle lights, but I prefer the retro look. Saddle bags are Danish Army Surplus and cost me less than a dollar. Gun rack is for an ATV and came from bass pro probably or could have been the Cabelas bargain cave. Paint is just the camo spray paint from Home Depot. Scavenge and you can put one together for very little money.

Second That, Gun Rack and solid tubes, sweet. WONDER IF THAT WOULD BE CONSIDERED SHOOTING FROM A VEHICLE. if you took a shot at a dove while setting on the bike? Something I will have to ask the game warden, for when I get my bike ready to outfit like this.

Like skulling a kayak for ducks, pedaling a bike for Dove would be ok. Motor and Motor Driven are the key words. Still it would be very difficult to stop the bick, pick up or un-sling off the shoulder a shotgun, load, and shoot at a Dove. It is mostly for quiet access to an area.

Vehicles: It is unlawful to hunt from or by means of motor-driven vehicles and land conveyances or aircraft of any kind, except paraplegics and single or double amputees of legs may hunt from stationary motor-driven vehicles or land conveyances. It is unlawful to use motor-driven land, water, or air conveyances or sailboats to concentrate, drive, rally, or stir up any migratory game bird.

and

From or by means, aid, or use of any motor vehicle, motor-driven land conveyance, or aircraft (if you are a paraplegic or are missing one or both legs, you may hunt from a stationary car or other stationary motor-driven land vehicle or conveyance).
