That's a caping knife. It's tiny, about 4 1/2" OA. It's perfect for caping out a Deer. Now If I just had one to cape out. LOL

That one was Brass, Walnut, Brass, Turquoise, Brass and Axis. They're fairly easy to put together. You stack 'em up to mock up the handle, then glue them together and shape 'em to meet the bolster. When you make the blade you only leave a small flange on the back of the blade. After hardening, you weld on a piece of all-thread. It can be easily bent to conform to the centerline of the Antler. I make a 1/4" hole through the Antler and near the butt, make the hole bigger so i can tighten a nut down on it to hold it while the epoxy dries. After drying, I fill the cavity up with Epoxy. When that dries I epoxy on the but cap, after that dries I sand the butt down smooth and polish. Lots of waiting for glue to dry huh? I like using Axis. Most Whitetail is too small and Elk is Too big. Each one is like a puzzle you have to solve. I really do love this stuff.
