looking for some advice

Postby dc1011 on 01:42 pm Apr 18 2009

I have been in texas since nov 08. I have been in the woods all my life where i moved from and have not been out yet.I have been told when it comes to hog and varmint huntting that i should not need to pay or pay very little because rachers do not wnat them on their property. can someone confirm this? If so how do you get ahold of property owners who will let you hunt on their property. I do not have any problem paying for a good hunt as long as there is opurtunity and the price is reasonable. I would not think hunting for hogs should be that expensive do to them being more of a problem than anything else. Any advice would be great. thank you in advance.

You can usually hunt varmints for free. Sometimes hog hunts cost and other times they do not.

Hogs are rarely free, with varmints it is pretty hard to find a place because the majority of the ranches and farms already have hunters that they let varmint hunt. Occasionally you will find a place that lets you hunt for free. Best to find a few local hunters and team up with them.

Put up a flyer at the local feed stores for free hog removal. You may get a call and have an opportunity to hunt hogs and varmints for free.
