spring turkey

Postby TEXASLEFTY » 04:24 pm Apr 12 2009

My son and I went up to Wilbarger county last night and got a Jake this morning not a big gobbler. I would rather of had him with me than have gotten a mature bird.

There were plenty of turkeys up there however they were fairly quite and not responding to calls at least they did not seem to be. We have been invited back and trust me they have turkeys. I will post a pic later I hope.

Welcome to the site CutterBill, what part of Archer county do you hunt in?

I grew up down around Olney and Newcastle and have a friend that has some places out around the Olney Lakes and the Falls County School Land.
