Thanks guys, I am not expecting huge growth with these grow beds, because I have very low density of fish. I have way to much fish tank for only 2 grow beds. But when my system is finished I am expecting amazing growth

Not a whole lot to see right now, but after I get the whole system up and running it will be something to see. right now it is just a tank buried in a big pit.

Here is a video I made yesterday. My slow internet really sucks, it took about 7 hours to up load it, and it is only 2 1/2 minutes long.

Dang so close.

It is getting down to 25 tonight, but these planst are supposed to be planted right now. So hoping they can deal with the temps. The water should stay fairly warm, so that willl help.

Well got some updates.

Peas are doing great.

Image

Beets 5 days after planting seeds.

Image

Found two large algae eaters to put in. Tried putting some small goldfish that eat algae, but the bass ate them.

Image

Building a cover over the top to keep the leaves and crap out, and also to limit the sun so the algae doesn't get to bad.

Got my first 12 volt DC pump in Friday. Got a battery, and going to wire it up tomorrow. Need to find a good battery charger/maintainer that can keep the battery charged till I get my solar system set up.

Had it like this, but many people told me not to use all those metal fittings. So I changed them to PVC. But in the pic is also my strainer so I don't suck up any fish.

Just a small waterproof regular digital camera.

Those fish will be coming out and about 300 catfish will be going in once I am done with the system.
