Newly built (but small) Trophy Room!!

Postby mudslinger » 08:52 pm Jul 06 2010

I have run out of room for mounts in my house (can't put any in 2 bedrooms????) so I decided to enclose my back patio and make that my Trophy Room. Ended up being about 12' x 16' with the peak of a corner wall at 14' I raised the ceiling of the patio to where it is right under the roof rafters to give me more room above the existing brick walls for more mounts. I placed 1/2' plywood behind the upper sheetrock so I won't have to find a stud if needed. The floor is tiled to match the rest of the living area and I put track lighting, an animal theme ceiling fan and rough cedar beams on the ceiling. I managed to do all the work myself and nothing fell, caught fire or threw sparks! Hope you enjoy.

The rest of the pics. Also, the rug in the center of the room I bought in Africa in 08 and it is all Springbok hides. Not all my animals are in the room and none of my stuff from Africa from 08 is done yet, any day now!

TxPapa, I have done kitchens, showers and such with the corrugated, old tin and it is a pain in the butt to work with, especially on the ceiling.
