My Hobby

Postby huntingwithsoldiers » 07:36 pm Jun 05 2011

Other than runing the Hunting with Soldiers program, making canes is my hobby. I make them and send them to wounded Soldiers and am working on one right now for a Vietnam Vet friend of mine. He came to hunt with me on a special Vietnam Vet hunt. Hes a great guy.

Its something I learned by watching my Grandfather and I couldnt thing of anyone else that deserves one more. I have never sold one and to be honest theres not much of a market for the, Thats something that is the last thing that some people, including me, want to ever have to purchase. The cane with the Soldier that has the leg missing, I wound up stabbing myself while making it. Lost over 2 pints of blood and took a few stitches. I sent him a note with it saying: You shed your blood for our Country and I shed mine for you. lol
