Thanks for the welcome. Yes, I do work for Indianhead Ranch. I am currently the Assistant to the Vice President. We have 10,000 acres in Southwest Texas. We are a hunt and stalk ranch with over 25 species of exotics. I have worked for the ranch for approximately 7 months and really love my job. It is so peaceful to look outside of my office window and watch the buffalos play. We also offer summer camps for youth between the ages of 9 through 18. The summer camps are very unique. I was privilaged with the task of taking pictures and videos of our campers this past summer. That was a truely awarding experience.

Hi. I wonder if there's any summer camp for my 19 year old nephew. He is fond of going into the wilderness and since you offer a hunt and stalk ranch program I think this kind of youth ranch program is the one that suits him. Also, how much would it cost? Thanks.

That is a good question. We often debate on ages to set the camps. This year we are adding an Advance II camp for 14 to 18 yrs.
This camp offers:
2 Night Kayaking/Campout Trip on the Devils River State Park/Amistad Lake
Target Shooting - Compound Bow, Rifle, Pistol, Shot Gun and Crossbow
Hunting: Several Options Available
Repelling Cliffs on Indianhead Ranch to Lake Amistad
Rock Climbing
Snorkeling in the Devils River
Fishing on Lake Amistad and the Devils River
Caving in The Ancient Caves and Viewing the Pictographs on IHR
Land Trekking - Land Navigation with a GPS
Shooting Practice with Hunting Scenarios

I will gladly talk with the owner to see if she will waive the age. If we have enough older campers I am sure another camp will be formed. The Advance II camp is $2,460 with the hunt, $1,860 without a hunt. The hunt usually consist of a Texas Dahl, Black Hawaiin Sheep or a Corsican Sheep. The camp is scheduled for July 30-Aug 6. We have a few more photos on our website. www.indianheadcamps.com
