Ive been stationed at Ft Hood for 4 yrs never hunted on there but have always wanted to. The only thing thats stopped me is all the regulations and the tele track stuff. Just seems like a huge hassle. Let me know how it works out for ya.

Wel I was stationed there for 6 yrs from Fall of 1995 to Fall of 2001 and this will be the first time hunting there but you use to go to the Rod and Gun club and get in lina and check in personally every morning. The Teletrack sound's a whole lot better. Atleast I will not have to deal with going in th main gate, and all the traffic. I will be hunting the eastern portion of FT. Hood, Going down old Nolanville road from Nolanville area toward Lake Belton. Will be scouting for Hog, Quail, Dove, Deer, Fox and Coyote.

I have stayed away from the area that I hunt for 2 weeks. I sure hope it works at well for me.

I would be interested in hunting FT Hood, my brother lives there and he has invited me yo stay in his house if I hunt there.

Well Texaslefty, I made it home early this morning jumped on the computer to check on the weekly training area schedule and wouldn't you know it. about 95% of Ft. Hood is closed at least until this friday maybe until 5th of November, 1st Cav is out in the field doing training. just my luck! Guess I will have to hunt on the small WMA area for Quail and maybe some Duck.
