Deer behind my house in Killeen/Ft Hood

Postby sappertitan » 09:14 pm Oct 31 2010

The deer in these pics live behind my house in Killeen Tx on a small piece of land within city limits the land is private and the owner will not allow any hunting at all but doesn't seem to mind me feeding and taking pics of these deer. I had a lot more pics but accidently deleted them off my old computer without saving them to my portable hard drive. The biggest deer is really old now and his antlers don't look too good at this point well as of last year atleast. Ill try and find some other pics but here are a few I found. Oh and I sure wish I could have hunted these bucks. Most of these pics were taken over 2 yrs ago.

Oh and does anyone think they can give me an estimate on the big one?

Well I would have loved to kill him but like I said the land owner doesn't allow hunting at all and im not willing to break the law for a deer. I found a couple sheds and I take pics but thats about all I can do with these deer.

Dang man that 1st pic is a monster. That would be a great bow kill. That's too bad about the landowner.

Nice buck, thats probably the biggest buck I have seen for this area by far sappertitan. I have been here in this area for 16yrs now and have not seen anything close to that.

I believe it .My neighbor couldn't believe we had a deer that big stuck between sub divisions with only like 5-10 acres to live on. They actually have nice size bodies as well prob. b/c 2-3 ppl are feeding them corn on a regular basis. Im really hoping to see the 8 and 9 point this year and if I get them on the cam ill be sure to post.
