I've been having dreams about bucks chasing does, pre dawn 4 wheeler rides, and I keep smelling gunpowder....Is this normal??

I had a dream last night that I had the buck of a life time on my game cam...... & I don't even have it out yet???

I hate to say it, but whitetail season is right now just a little blimp on my screen and will probably be very boring this year due to the fact that I have a 10 day safari in Africa starting on Sept 20 this year (all bowhunting!). I do not start my return trip to the states until opening day of bow season. It is really hard to sit in a stand over a feeder after you have witnessed and partaken in the excitement of seeing so many animals and so many species like you can and do in Africa. hopefully it will be as good if not better than it was in 08. 54 days until departure date.

mudslinger with a trip like that whitetail deer season would take a back seat till next year for me. I know you will be in your zone so have fun & take lots of pics. Are you going to video any of your bow hunting kills???

I am hoping either my PH or my wife will video the hunts. I am taking a vidoe camera this year. My PH videoed my hunt in 08 but I have yet to get a copy of the DVD.

I am excited about Deer season, it means Pheasant season is close, Good Luck in Africa!

I am getting more excited about it myself. Academy and Gander Mtn are putting the boat stuff on sale and getting ammo and camo out.

I also found out that I have The Outdoor Channel and Sportsman Cannel on my TV and have been watching lots of hunting shows.

Only 30 days til we leave Lubbock bound for RSA. I can hardly wait, but I do need to choose a BH really quick.
