Cane for a Vietnam Vet

Postby huntingwithsoldiers » 09:32 am Jul 02 2011

Margret (Maggie from another Forum) brought her Dad up here last year to hunt on a special Vietnam Veteran hunt I put on with the Program. The instant I met the old guy I felt like I knew him all my life. Well I told Maggie I was going to make him a cane. Well I finally got it done.

I made this Bamboo walking stick a few years ago but just drilled a hole thru it and stuck some leather thru it and it set in my little shop forever. While finishing up my last cane, I looked at it and decided to work on it a little bit. Now I have to find a wounded Soldier or Veteran to send it to.

Thought that walking stick looked better here
