We (the outfitter) and I are looking for any one that might be interested in an Alberta Bear Hunt. You can actually use a gun or bow on this hunt. I'm only taking my bow. My wife, friends and family think I'm nuts not to take a gun. Two other buddies from Levelland are going with me. Last week there were still 4 spots left. If you have ever wanted to go like me this should be a great hunt. Go by yourself or find a buddy to go. Total of 8 hunters in a camp.
The hunt will be the week of May 22 thru the 29 with Alertabearbusters.com in High Level Alberta. I went through another outfitter, Jeff Thomason with (Predatorpursuit.com) that made a deal with the Alberta outfitter for two weeks worth of hunting. This will be Jeffs 3rd year to go so he should know if it's good or not. Now this hunt is only for the week of the 22 to 29. Two bear tags and a wolf tag with lodging and food are included. Guide will pick you up in High Level. My hunt is scheduled for the week before (the 15 to the 22). Guided hunt is $3000 and plane flight will run about $1000 unless you can use some kind of air discounts.
