I finally got my buck back from the taxidermist yesterday ...which also happened to be my birthday ...very suitable to get it back ON my birthday. I'm extremely pleased in the worth they did on him. There is NOTHING I'm disappointed in.

For this area, he is a real dandy & some of his brothers/younguns are still out there.

This buck in particular moved 2 properties south, about 2 miles almost 3, to here where I got him. Going to get some game cams this weekend & see what all is around. The hunters that had him on their cams all bow season were actually ticked that I got him, its hilarious.

I saw this buck the week before deer season started. I was out hunting pigs, shot 1, had the-rat take it back while I settled into the stand & at last last light I saw him. Went back every day since season started & there he came, the evening of Nov. 8th. He came out of no where, from where I have never seen deer come before. 3 other doe were already at the feeder & he came to check them out. One boogered & puffed & they all scattered. I thought he was gone but he came out & I took him. He didn't go that far but it took us forever to find him. He fell right in the middle of some thick briers & it practically swallowed him up & I had to go around to the other side to see him. Took me almost 20 minutes to cut him out, with a few choice words as I got shredded by the briers. The more I cut away, the bigger & better he got. Took 3 of us to force him into the back of the truck. Mom-in-law asked where I got the "cow" from lol. Luckly it was so cold that night, we hung him & waited 'til the next day to cape him & cooler the meat.
