I have been seeing this boar on my trail cam for a few months now. Back in Oct. I have pics of him knocking two of the legs out from underneath my feeder. Since then he has had a death warrant!!!!!!!!! Since deer season is winding down I am putting all of my effort into finding him and serving that death warrant.

Mike ever thought of building a hog trap? it' not that hard & it's
fun to trap them.
My wife [jill] got me a welder last year for christmas and I made me one.
If you do build one and you need help let me know.

My hunting buddy and I just finished this trap a few weeks ago. It is a big wire spool that he found in a bar ditch near Shallowater. We put hog panel in it and built a guillotine (SP?) door for it. We have not set it yet do to deer season. We will get it set up in January and see what we can get.




I do work for LPD. I work the night shift. I have been with the PD for three years.

That is a good looking trap you built. It looks like you have it in a good spot next to that water. Do you bait it with anything?

We use corn and "Black Gold" from http://www.brutalboarcreations.com/black-gold.htm. Many of the trappers and hunters on TEXASBOARS.COM use this product and we have had lots a good success with it. I would recommend it to anyone. You have to buy it by the case. We have been told that they are suppose to have it a Gander Mtn., but I have never seen it on the self and the manager keeps telling me that he will get some.

If you want to try some, I will be ordering a case soon and will be glad to let you try a quart.

Have you trapped anything with that trap yet?

I bate w/ corn & have trapped five hogs in my trap but I heard the black gold is very good stuff.

No he is not on here yet. I told him about it and he said that he was going to check it out.

I saw Jeremy on Thurs. night. I ask him about his drug test and he told me the story.................LOL.................Very Funny!!!!!!!!! Nothing better than messing with the new guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!
