Anyone shoot anything yet? I'm about to head out the door. This is just my 2nd year to really bow hunt. Hope I can kill something this year!! I've got a pretty good little bow hunting setup ready, so I'll let ya'll know how it went when I get in tonight.

Well depending on what you call "success" I could be off to a good start. Yesterday afternoon I had a really small yearling at 7 yards at about 5:30, it still had a few spots that hadn't faded completely. Then a little while later I had a small 6 point at about 15 yards that I passed on, then I shot under a doe at about 20 yards.....then I shot over another doe at about 25 yards about 30 minutes after that. It's awesome having deer come in that close, but on the 1st doe I missed, for some reason my arms WOULD NOT work!! It took like 4 tries to draw my bow, and then I missed!! I'm loving it so far, just a little disappointed about not connecting. This bow hunting stuff could become a habit though. The really cool thing about this is these deer were all on public land next to a piece of property that is owned by a friend. I picked this spot to bow hunt because I didn't want to kill anything at our lease until my wife and son had a chance to hunt. I will probably try again this afternoon, so I'll keep ya'll posted...

Sat in the stand all weekend long with my wife. She missed a doe that was quartering away alot harder than she thought. That's hunting!
