My neighbor, Sonny, who is a DPS officer has a wife that has requested a pig so she can make tamales. Sonny hunts, but not in an area with pigs, yet. She ask the same last year, but hte pigs disappeared and I never got her one. This year, they cooperated big time!
My feeder went off at 6:45 Saturday morning and about 5 till 7, 2 youg boars made their way into the feeder. I got my bow and got ready for the shot, but their running around sucking up the corn made a shot almost impossible. About the time I was getting ready to draw, in come about 20 little pigs weighing about 8 or 10 ponds each. Next a small sow comes in and you could tell that part of these little ones were hers, but I don't think all were her's. I had killed 2 sows the week before and they could have been the leftovers of one of those sows. Another young boar followed, so I have a wad of pigs under the feeder, but no shot at the bigger ones because of the smalller ones being in the way. Finally one of the boars separated from the bunch and offered a broadside 20 yard shot. The shot felt good and I saw the FOB pop off and the arrow land in the brush on the other side of the feeder. The pig ran a total of 15', yes 15' and fell over stone cold dead. The other big pigs left, but the little ones stayed and I fugured I one get a griller size, but the sow grunted and the little one took off following here thru the brush. Later on that morning another boar came to the feeder and I managed to get another shot, but hit this pig way high, above the spine in the never, never land. The pig stood at the edge of the feed area, no blood and started to come back in, but thought better of that idea and exited the area. No blood on the arrow, just fat and tallow and no blood on the ground. He will probably be back. Later still that morning, I saw 3 big boars moving towards the feeder, but a group of cows moved across and the pigs never came in. Thought I was going to get a triple dip that morning. Maybe next time.
I shot the new Tekan T3 for the first time and was very impressed with the performance of this broadhead. I hit one lung and the heart on this pig and it sailed thru him like a hot knife thru butter. Very lethal holes and a very quick kill. I will be using these heads again. Here are pics of the boar and me and a pic of the T3 hole thru the heart. I am the one behind the boar with all the gray!
Tamales on the way!

I was looking @ the new T3 Broadhead my self gotta love a 1.5 inch cutting diameter. I'm still using the fixed blade muzzys (75grn). You sold me my 1st set and I never bought any other brand.
